FAQs

Should I have a trial?

To ensure your big day flows easily, and to make any changes, trials are a great way to see how beautiful you will look in advance. These can take place weeks or months prior, and can include experimentation with different looks, a written record of the make-up chosen and digital photographs. Usually only the bride decides to have a trial but sometimes mums and the bridesmaids or friends want one at the same time. It is entirely up to you. They are lots of fun and everyone is so delighted when they leave after the trial! I have lots of photographs for you to look at but please bring some with you, particularly hair styles that appeal to you.

Where are trials held?

Trials are done at our studio near Bowral at a mutually convenient time.

How do I make a booking?

Please use the enquiry form to make your initial enquiry and June-Rose will email you immediately.  Alternatively ring June-Rose to make a booking. A deposit is taken and this secures your day. The deposit can be taken via bank transfer as soon as you have made your decision to use us. Alternatively a deposit can be taken at your makeup and or hair trial. Please note, deposits are non-refundable.

Does both hair and makeup have to be taken?

No. Choose one or both.

How many people can be catered for on the wedding day?

We cater for any number. I will employ an expert assistant if large numbers are involved.

What makeup products do you use?

June-Rose uses Makeup Forever Professional, Paris Berline, Nars, Mac, Atelier, Napoleon, Kryolan, Bodyography, Armani, Tarte, Urban Decay, Chantecaille, Two Faced and Kat von D as well as other quality professional products.

On the wedding day what happens re timings etc?

The makeup takes a minimum of thirty minutes per person. Hair can take about forty minutes per person depending on the style chosen. I like to have the bride finished about third out of a four party wedding so she can dress and prepare. The person chosen to help her dress may like to be ready for this time also and I will help and guide on this on the day.

I come with all the makeup and/or hair kit (very comprehensive kits!). I like to have a table near daylight for makeup and near a power point for hair styling. Everyone should if possible be there when I arrive so I can decide on what order we will go with, along with your opinions.

You should be ready by the time the photographer arrives and allow enough time to dress and get to your ceremony venue in a calm organised way.

Our days are always calm and happy – they are well planned and very memorable!
