I was looking for someone who created a natural look, and was able to manage both hair and make up so that our look flowed. Your website was professional, easy to navigate, and had adequate photos of your work. All the things I was looking for!
All your responses were timely and professional – you were personable but always in control and organised. I loved that we created a run sheet at the trial, and you were already planning what was going to happen.
I absolutely loved my hair and make up, as did all the girls. I felt like a model, and even at the end of the night, after hours of dancing, my hair was still in place and my make up flawless.

Two days before our wedding we had to change ceremony locations due to the Naval Regatta. We were stressed at times, so it was very important to me that everything on the day went ahead without dramas, June was a major component in a smooth and enjoyable day.

June-Rose is very reasonably priced (when first researching makeup and hair, I was overwhelmed by the enormous range of options available. June struck me as an affordable choice that didn’t compromise on quality.
June-Rose also has a great sense of humour. I had a “rowdy-ish” group of bridesmaids who had all been bridesmaids before, June got along with all of them and they all remarked on how relaxed getting ready felt in contrast to previous experiences they had had.
She is skilled in her trade, has a mixture of compromise and advice, friendly, patient and very easy to work with.
June helped to make me and my bridesmaids and mums beautiful, the makeup lasted throughout the afternoon and into the evening, even after some particularly energetic dancing everything stayed in place. We all looked outstanding in the photos.

I changed my mind about the hairstyle I wanted between the trial and wedding day so on my big day June had to work off a photo I had brought along.
Not only did she improve on the hairstyle, she made it more appropriate for the garden wedding. The makeup was just flawless and I just loved those individual lashes which opened up my eyes without imparting that fake eyelash look.

My hair can be very unpredictable as it can be rather frizzy at times! With ease, she turned into it into beautiful soft curls that stayed in place all day, even with extremely strong winds during the ceremony and photo shoot afterwards. I was really lucky to go to Peppers Manor House Wedding Open Day where I met June-Rose and looked at examples of her work. I loved the fact that she was familiar with the venue, had extensive experience working with many different styles. She was kind and welcoming – and both my bridesmaid and I decided then and there to go with her!
However after that and in further planning of the wedding her business repeatedly popped up on Pinterest, and Google, etc.
I absolutely loved how happy she was with such an early start (4:15am YIKES!!) and willing to work on a variety of different styles on several people. After the trial I was incredibly impressed with her work – and loved how beautiful I felt at the trial, let alone on the wedding day itself – despite the 40 degree heat my makeup didn’t run all day!
My trial consultation at the cottage studio was just beautiful, and the recommendation of the Werai Tea House nearby made the perfect afternoon out with my Mum. She was even willing to try a trial on my Mother’s hair at the last minute which was wonderful. She did an amazing l930’s style to suit the vintage theme.
Her prices were so reasonable …. the end product was perfect, and the amazing experience of using her service.
June-Rose was incredibly professional, she showed up on time and answered all emails and questions really quickly. I really enjoyed her company on the morning of the wedding, she helped to make such a hectic and emotional morning nothing but calm and enjoyable. She helped make me (one of the most self-conscious people imaginable) feel beautiful for the most incredible day of my life – plus anyone who can deal with my intense, crazy family at such an early hour has to be superwoman!

Not having my family in Australia to help me plan the wedding and meet people who would be involved in the day, I really needed to “click” with those people and feel I could rely on them and that they genuinely cared about me and my wedding. June-Rose ticked all of those boxes. June-Rose took the time to get to know me and my make-up “likes”/style. She tried a few different looks but never tried to force one on me. She seemed to really understand what I was after, which was important for me as a first-time user of professional make-up services. She also very quickly understood what my family were after for their hair, even though they weren’t there so I had to give her a very general idea!
For the time and effort June-Rose put into doing this for me and my family, I definitely think her prices were reasonable. It’s not something you do every day but you want to feel you get value for money and we all felt that!
She was so professional and experienced reliable, cooperative ( very much so – especially given I engaged her at quite short notice and then added more requests a week before the wedding and even more on the day itself!)( friendly ( We all loved having June-Rose as part of the day and I loved “working” with her in the run up to the wedding. It was great fun!). She is exceptionally good at her job, an expert!( We all felt like we were in very good hands and were thrilled with the final result!)
I genuinely cannot speak highly enough of June-Rose or the service she provided. From start to finish it was an absolute pleasure to have her involved in the planning of my wedding and the day itself. June–Rose went well and truly above and beyond to make my day special and she looked after us all so well. The fact that she didn’t bat an eyelid when, a week before the wedding, I asked her to do one of my sister’s make-up or, on the day itself, to do my other sister’s and mum’s make-up AND my 2 flower girls’ hair (having already done 4 bridesmaids’ hair, my mum’s hair and my sister-in-law’s and then my make-up)… words cannot say how amazing that was – I actually feel quite teary just remembering the day and the lengths June-Rose went to to help make it so special. My nieces loved getting the “grown up” treatment and we all just felt so special and looked after. When I sat down to have my make-up done that was really the first time that day that I stopped rushing around and suddenly the enormity of it all hit me. Like a lot of brides I knew what look I wanted to have at our wedding in my head, but I wasn’t sure how explain this – being untrained and unfamiliar with hair and makeup terms! “I chose June-Rose because I wanted somebody local and experienced. I didn’t want somebody very young and new to the industry who would inevitably pile on the make up. I wanted to look very natural and I felt that only an experience artist could provide this.
A number of the venues we looked at in the Southern Highlands recommended June Rose. I was looking for somebody with a lot of experience, particularly for weddings and June-Rose was all of this. She has great product knowledge and talked me through the products she was using. June-Rose gave me skin care and make up advice for the day and on ongoing, she was even able to sell me a couple of products to improve my complexion at my trial. I immediately trusted June-Rose and I was not disappointed.
June-Rose invited me in to her home studio and made me feel welcome for my trial. I took a couple of pictures to show her what I liked in terms of hair and make up. We spent the next few hours working on achieving my wedding day look. She allowed to me to comment, make adjustments throughout the process and made me feel at ease doing so. June-Rose was always engaging and we chatted throughout the process, making it very enjoyable.

I loved my make up and there’s only been one other time I have said that honestly. I wanted to look bronzed, natural and made up but not caked on and June-Rose was able to achieve this beautifully. It’s all about the product but more importantly how you use the product to achieve the desired result. I have had my make up done at cosmetic counters and left feeling like you couldn’t see the forest through the tree’s. With June-Rose I felt and looked like the best version of me and this is a true credit as nobody wants to look back at photos of their wedding day and feel like they don’t recognise themselves.
I had my 4 sisters as bridesmaids and they all chose their own dresses, they are all very different in terms of their looks and style. Despite my best efforts I couldn’t pin them down to a certain look before the day. June-Rose did very well to cater to everybody’s (on the day) requests and make up each bridesmaid to suit their taste whilst still keeping in theme for the day.

I just wanted to say a huge thank you for all your help yesterday – it was such a special day. I was so happy with our hair and make-up, we had so many compliments and i just know the photos will turn out amazing.
